DESIGN

TANTO BLADE

The 3.5” tanto blade is constructed with precision engineering and a factory sharpened edge to ensure clean cuts with minimal effort. The tanto blade has a strong angular tip that is designed for piercing and puncturing and can even be used for chisel work. The broad edge can be used for common slicing tasks while the partial serration is ideal for cutting thick or tough materials.

The tanto blade is a great choice for everyday carry (EDC), general utility uses as well as tactical and personal-defense applications.

5Cr13 STEEL

5Cr13 stainless steel offers excellent hardness, maintains a good, sharp edge, and has great corrosion resistance at an affordable price.

BLACK OXIDE FINISH

The black oxide coating not only looks great, but it helps improve abrasion and corrosion resistance.

OPERATION

INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT: It is advised to always handle the blades by the dull, spine side to keep your fingers furthest away from the sharp edge to prevent risk of injury.

BLADE REMOVAL
1. Carefully unfold the knife and push the toggle lock thumb stud to the unlocked position. A yellow dot will be visible on the opposite side of the toggle lock.
2. Grip the knife in your hand and use your thumb to push down on the blade release located on the retention support.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

SHARPENING
Swift Edge blades come with a factory sharp edge suitable for all your cutting, slicing, sawing, and filleting needs. They are intended to be replaced after extended use, so it is important to regularly inspect and dispose of heavily worn or damaged blades. TRUE does not recommend sharpening the Swift Edge replacement blades, but minimal honing can be done to extend the life of the blade.
CLEANING
We recommend cleaning your knife and blade after every use. This is especially important with the Swift Edge knifes to ensure the retention housing is free of debris. Carefully hand wash with liquid dish soap and warm water. Do not use abrasivecleansers or scouring pads that may scratch the blade or knife finish. Dry thoroughly prior to storage to prevent the risk of rusting.
OILING
If needed, a small amount of oil can be used to lubricate the pivot mechanism of the knife. A thin coating of oil can all also be applied to the blades to prevent the risk of rusting when in storage.
