CARE & MAINTENANCE
SHARPENING
Swift Edge blades come with a factory sharp edge suitable for all your cutting, slicing, sawing, and filleting needs. They are intended to be replaced after extended use, so it is important to regularly inspect and dispose of heavily worn or damaged blades. TRUE does not recommend sharpening the Swift Edge replacement blades, but minimal honing can be done to extend the life of the blade.
CLEANING
We recommend cleaning your knife and blade after every use. This is especially important with the Swift Edge knifes to ensure the retention housing is free of debris. Carefully hand wash with liquid dish soap and warm water. Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads that may scratch the blade or knife finish. Dry thoroughly prior to storage to prevent the risk of rusting.
OILING
If needed, a small amount of oil can be used to lubricate the pivot mechanism of the knife. A thin coating of oil can all also be applied to the blades to prevent the risk of rusting when in storage.
